Properties: White or yellow crystalline powder or crystal with strong sulphur dioxide smell, specific gravity: 1.4,  soluble in water, glycerine and little in ethanol , aqueous solution  is acidic fluid.

Application: Mainly used in pharmaceutic materials, paper industry, photochem, bleaching, developer, leather chroming agent, rubber industry, dyes, printing dyeing, textile auxiliary, cotton wool, antichlor, chromate waste water treatment agent, anticorrosive, disinfecting etc..
