Sodium Bicarbonate is white powder or opaque fine manoclinic crystal,with the relative density of 2.159.it is smell less and salty.it dissolves in water and slightly dissolves in ethanol,In addition,its water solution will show alkalesce during hydrolyzing.When heated,it will be decomposed and elease carbon dioxide.It will change into the concentrated crystal soda(Na2CO3.NaHCO3.2H2O)under 100 when being heated for 2 hours undr 270-300.it will decomposed in humid air.
