PTFE Steel Braided Brake Hoses

Xiangda PTFE steel braided brake hoses are manufactured to the same exacting standards as rubber brake hoses. They are tested utilising SAEJ1401 and FMVSS106 specified procedures including pressure hold, pressure burst (to destruction) and whip tests.

What's the advantage of PTFE Steel Braidied Brake Hoses?


Originally PTFE steel braided lines were supplied to the Aviation industry. Then, due to their outstanding performance they became extensively used in motorsport.


The reason is that PTFE steel braided brake hoses provide extremely low expansion characteristics under pressurisation. A far better relationship between user input and the braking power applied occurs. This means you see an increase in performance from your vehicles braking system. The brake pedal will feel firmer, less effort is required to apply the appropriate braking pressure and of course they look fantastic as well as being functional.

Construction

PTFE Braided lines are strong and durable. The line itself has a tensile strength of 3500 psi and the assemblies are tested to a minimum tensile load of 1.46 Kn (kilo-newtons). That's essentially hanging a 150kg weight off the end of the hose.
