Property:
Sodium nitrite is white or slight yellow crystal powder. The specific gravity: 2.168, melting point:271°C. Slightly saline taste, easy to deliquescence, easy to dissolve in water and liquid ammonia. It has the strong oxidizing property, as well as reducing property. It can slowly oxidize into sodium nitrate in the air, and will become diamino compound composed with ammonia under low temperature.
Application:
Mainly used in dyestuff industry and organic synthesis. And often used in the preparation of the azo dyes, nitrogen oxide, medicine, printing and dyeing, metal heat treatment agent and bleaching, etc.
